Net Responsibility is reporting sites that I have not visited.

I have installed Net Responsibility on Ubuntu 16.04 and everything seems to be working fine except for the fact that when I receive reports it shows "www.youporn.com" as a warning when I have not visited it at all. I have checked my browsing history just in case but it isn't there, so I don't know where it is coming from. The odd thing as well is that it isn't persistent. Some reports won't have it whilst others will. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  • It sounds very strange that NR would report sites that you haven't visited. One possible explanation could be that websites may link to each other and "import" content from other webpages. It might be an ad, an image, a video etc. So if you've visited websites that in turn loads content from youporn.com (in this specific example), then it will show up in the report.

Another explanation might be that the database isn't rotated correctly, which means that old browse history would remain in the NR database. However it sounds unlikely that it wouldn't be persistent. In that case it would be included every time.

Other than that I'm not sure what could cause this issue (other than of course if someone else have borrowed your computer and visited such sites).

Hope you'll be able to figure it out. If it's some kind of bug in NR, please let us know!
